Banner in action



Country inn recently used my banner I made for them for an event that happened. It's neat to see your work printed out and being used. I am le proud. Here is the owner of Country Inn, Monica Silva and her daughter.

Little bit of an art dump. I'm currently working on some concept art for a local game company so once I get the okay I'll post up that work. Other than that I'm have been sort of swamped with a website design gig. Trying to get it done ASAP so I can work on a demo reel. I am probally going to do an environment reel again. (maybe with one character ,rig and animated just to be a hard ass)

Cesar Millan and Country Inn


I've been lucky enough to be contracted again by one of my favorite clients Country Inn!

Country Inn is gearing up for the arrival of Cesar Millan.

Who will be doing his Fundamentals I course on the East Coast(first time on the East Coast) – January 8 through 13 at the beautiful Country Inn Pet Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

UDK- Mechanics Test for Link DeathMatch

Daniel Godinho and I started on a prototype project. Where you play as Link (from Zelda) who throws his Navi around to annoy the other Links. This is just a rough prototype on the projectile system and the insanity system.

Wedding Invitations

Recently my mom asked if I could make wedding invitations. I told her yeah I think I can. So today I did some random ideas for wedding invitations.   The first one is a very traditional one I think. It's formal, black and white design. Usually the paper quality will help bring it out.

The Second is  a complementary color combo that looks a bit more modern in my opinion.

Mock up logo

This logo is for IT/Software Engineering company based in Germany. I sent this to them today and hopefully they like it. -fingers cross- It gave me a nice excuse to get back into playing with illustrator.





I'm thinking about starting an art regime soon. One day 3D modeling another day making vector, 2 days doing animations if it's anything like my current workout regime I'll start see results pretty quick.  If I start it expect tons of updates soon.

Logo

There's a website called MomSpot. They are a new Internet marketing company that markets products and services to mothers. The demographic is educated, middle-to-upper class moms (or expecting) between the ages of 24 and 45. The brand is to be stylish, chic, sexy and fashionable I made this logo in respects to that.  It also gave me a chance to play with Illustrator more

The Flying Alphabet

So for the past three to four months I've been working on a contract with Vikingo Games to make an reality augmented children's book.

We recently submitted our app for approval to the App Store. It is such an exciting feeling to see everything come together.

We also shot a little demo of the the book and here it is....


I did illustrations, 3D modelling, animation, UI design, and actual wrote some shader scripts!

My boss handled the major programming which he did such a great job at.

 This was a great project to work on and hopefully I'll get more contracts like this. It was so fun.

Elder scrolls online-Mini map update

I've been playing around with this idea and came up with a few different concepts



Tried this one with their verison of the ouroboros. It didnt quite feel right ..

I was thinking of no border but i like the glass effect i made. I was also working on the size of the map.

I finished the night with this idea. I really like hace the knots in the background. It reminds me of the borders in oblivion for their text boxes.

Elder Scrolls UI Mockup

Since I dont have the beta for Elder Scrolls I decided to make a mock up of what I thought it would look like.
I started off with this since it was close the Skyrim/Oblivion I played growing up.



Edit: I'm not a 100 percent sure what to do for the map. Where to do it like their style which from what i seen is a radial map or keep it true to the compass format that the other games had. or maybe do a rotating radial map. To infuse the two ideas.


Things I am adding or need to add:

Multiple skills (apparently you switch em out by clicking on them i hear?)
Experience bar
Target system- so you know who the heck you are selecting.
cross hair
Enemy bar
map system with icons.

Allo there!

Sorry I havent been updating been very busy with work and other contracts.
So I decided to show you a rejected page from the Alphabet book I'm working on for Vikingo Games
It is a rejected page due to the similarities of Rocket to Astronaut. So it was scrapped to make way for another subject matter for R.
So without further ado here is R for Rocket.
 

This is a WIP piece. It features Deadpool and Weasel. (both owned by Marvel)
Been working off and on with this piece. I'll post up the final image when its done.

Solution to Unity Probelm

So I had this probelm where Unity thought my normals were flipped.

Thankfully after days of going to forums and researching a solution was found.

If you create a Shader script and paste this in

Shader "Custom/NewShader" {

Properties {

        _Color ("Main Color", Color) = (1,1,1,0)

        _MainTex ("Base (RGB)", 2D) = "white" {}

    }

    SubShader {

        Pass {

            Cull Off

            Material {

                Diffuse [_Color]

                Ambient [_Color]

            }

            Lighting On

            SetTexture [_MainTex] {

                Combine texture * primary DOUBLE, texture * primary

            }

        }

    }

}

Then you save. Create a material and select custom in the drop down menu. This will give you the option to pick your "New Shader"   Once you have it set up like that you just pick your texture for the mesh and apply to the mesh. VOILA le done.

Why dont you work?!



Been importing things into Unity recently. I've been exporting with .fbx from 3DS Max

So i have this astronaut that has an animation. But when I import in him into Unity it looks like his normals are flipped. They arent  in max but  the error is this weird see thru mesh thing...

Any way so far I've checked to make sure the shader is marked Diffuse instead of Transparent/Diffuse

Played with the Axis Converison... Going to do more research. Hopefully something works.

Game in Production



Currently developing a prototype for 2 mobile games. Once we get the 1st levels done on each game I'll post the progress.

Both games will be sold together so 2 games for a dollar, how can you beat that?

Back From Holidays

Back from my holiday. I shall be updating soon with more characters and environment pieces.

I also will be putting up a Wolf my friend modeled. I get the honor of texturing and rigging it. I'm pretty excited about it.
